Nature is known to help improve mental health, which is why more and more people are turning to growing flowers for their exceptional benefits. With the plants of nature we can cultivate our temperament. So much so that passengers can now see colorful bouquets of flowers at all major UK train stations to boost their well-being. Network Rail hopes the facility, as part of The Brighter Journeys initiative to raise awareness of the Hub of Hope mental health app, will lift people’s spirits for their journey. The flowers will initially be displayed at Liverpool Street Station in London Monday to Wednesday to mark Mental Health Awareness Week before moving on to Leeds, Edinburgh Waverley, Birmingham New Street, Stiffnidge, East Croydon and Cardiff.
Rupert Lorne, Director of Health and Safety at Network Rail, said: “We recognize that life has been difficult for many people since the pandemic and that there are many challenges to be overcome. “Through this event, we hope to bring joy and happiness to a wide range of passengers in their daily lives and remind them to take a break and connect with nature.” Jake Mills, Founder of Charity Chasing the Stigma and Hub of Hope, added, “Nature is so important to mental health, so we hope
passengers will enjoy seeing these flower installations that make people’s faces pop. A smile.” Hopefully these beautiful flowers will bring more smiles to people. That’s the simplest intention!
